Kingston man arrested after telling kids Santa doesn’t exist

The Grinch made an appearance at Kingston’s Santa Claus parade last weekend and has gotten into some legal trouble.

Officers arrested a man during the event Saturday evening after he told children that Santa doesn’t exist.

Police allege the 24-year-old man was drunk and wandering around Princess Street telling kids the unwanted truth. He also had his hair formed to look like two horns protruding from his head, authorities said.

The man, whose name wasn’t disclosed, was arrested and charged with causing a disturbance, breach of probation and public intoxication.

He was held in jail Saturday night and appeared in court Sunday for a bail hearing.
