Crosby, Toews among possible attendees for CBA negotiating session

Sidney Crosby and Jonathan Toews will likely be among the players in New York for tomorrow’s collective bargaining meeting.
The star forwards are scheduled to be part of the group the NHL Players’ Association chooses its attendees from, according to sources.
With negotiations at a stalemate, the league and union have scheduled a meeting that won’t include commissioner Gary Bettman or NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr.
On Sunday, the NHL announced the six owners who will be present for the talks: Mark Chipman (Winnipeg), Murray Edwards (Calgary), Larry Tanenbaum (Toronto), Ron Burkle (Pittsburgh), Jeff Vinik (Tampa Bay) and Jeremy Jacobs (Boston).
The NHLPA expects a number of players to be in town on Tuesday and will finalize its roster of six attendees prior to the afternoon meeting.
Crosby has been active during CBA negotiations and attended past sessions while Toews has been among the more outspoken players, having taken some pointed shots at Bettman in media interviews.
