Male pedestrian struck by GO train in Newmarket

A male pedestrian was rushed to hospital Monday morning after he was struck by a GO train in Newmarket.
The victim, whose name and age haven’t been released, was hit around 8 a.m. near Mulock Drive and Bayview Avenue.
York police have closed Mulock between Bayview and Cane Parkway for the investigation.
GO Transit says its 7:22 Barrie train bound for Union Station will be delayed about two hours. A train to accommodate passengers is scheduled to leave the Aurora station at 9:30 a.m.
