2 suspects wanted for assaulting & robbing elderly couple of cash & Christmas presents

Police are searching for two suspects who assaulted and tied up an elderly couple in a Vaughan home and took off with all of the Christmas presents under the victims’ tree.

The two robbers — one wielding a blunt metal object — broke into the victims’ house on Jeanne Drive, near Willis Road and Pine Valley Drive, around 3 a.m. Saturday.

The intruders assaulted the victims, ages 75 and 78, police said, and demanded cash. The couple complied but was then tied up with clothing while the robbers ransacked the house and took all of the presents under the Christmas tree.

The victims managed to untie themselves and get to a neighbour’s house for help. Officers arrived at the scene around 4:30 a.m. Both victims had to go to the hospital — the husband with a non life-threatening head injury.

  • Six feet-two inches tall, with a thin build
  • Was wearing dark clothing

#2

  • Male, black
  • Five-feet, 10 inches tall, with a thin build
  • Was wearing dark clothing
