A man was questioned by police in Vaughan early Friday for allegedly pointing a laser at a York Regional Police helicopter.
Police pulled over the suspect just before 1 a.m. in the Weston and Langstaff roads area after the chopper pilot reported the laser.
The man was questioned by officers but there’s no word yet on possible charges.
Pointing a laser at an aircraft is a very serious offence and a conviction can lead to a maximum $100,000 fine and a five-year prison sentence under the federal Aeronautics Act.
