Man charged with assaulting TTC streetcar driver

Toronto police have charged a man with assault after he allegedly spat on a TTC streetcar driver on Sunday.

Police say the man spat at the driver on King near Strachan Avenue and was arrested a short time later.

Gregory Argue, 48, of Toronto, has been charged with assault. He will appear in court on Monday.

According to the TTC, two TTC employees are assaulted every day on average, ranging from punching, slapping and spitting, to threats of physical harm or death.
