‘Murder in Passing’ whodunit airs on transit screens

A mystery whodunit tailored to commuters is now airing on TTC subway screens in 30-second installments.

Murder in Passing tells the story of Mars, a fictional bike courier in Passing, B.C., who is killed on the job.  Mars, played by Chase Joynt, is found dead under an overpass.

Suspects include Mars’ boss (Moynan King), his fiancée (Erin Bardua) and Passing’s anti-bike mayor (Arsinee Khanjian).

Alexander Chapman plays Detective Epicene, who, in true whodunit fashion, has secrets of her own.

A number of clues – with more available online and in the free newspaper Metro – are revealed each episode so that riders can help solve the crime.

All the episodes are silent so that riders won’t struggle with dialogue, and are filmed in black-and-white.

New episodes will air daily and will run every 10 minutes.  Viewers can also watch online.
