Police have laid more charges against a Toronto man accused in a snow removal scam.
Since he was first arrested on Jan. 4, 14 more victims have come forward.
Police allege the man operated at least two companies, Unique Seasonal Services and Geo Line Seasonal Services, in North York and York Region.
He allegedly collected advance payments for the season in cash or cheque. But when it snowed, the man did not shovel driveways.
When victims called his phone number, it was out of service.
Police say that some of the victims were senior citizens who were unable to leave their homes due to the accumulation of snow on their walkways.
Irakli Kristesiashvili, 23, who used the name “Eric,” is facing charges of fraud and possession of property obtained by crime.
Police believe there may be more victims.
