2 killed in helicopter crash in London

British police said two people were killed when a helicopter crashed into a crane on top of a building in central London on Wednesday.

“Two people have been confirmed dead at the scene. We have no further details,” police said in a statement. Two others had been taken to hospital.

A spokesman for London’s Counter Terrorism Command said there’s nothing to suggest any terrorism link.

Sky News said one pilot was on board the helicopter when it hit a crane on a building site near Vauxhall train station, a major commuter station on the south side of London, shortly after 8 a.m. (GMT).

Two cars were also involved in the accident.

Amateur video footage showed flaming wreckage strewn across a road.
