Milton couple facing drugs, firearms & bestiality charges

A couple is facing a slew of charges for drugs, firearms and bestiality after police executed a search warrant at a Milton home and allegedly found a “sophisticated” marijuana grow-op, among other things.

Halton police raided the couple’s home in the Nassagaweya area of Milton on Thursday and allegedly found 1,637 pot plants in a building that was also being used as a dog kennel.

A 12-gauge shotgun was also seized, police said, and evidence of bestiality involving a dog was allegedly also found. Police said other items seized from the house included $9,500 worth of harvested pot and anabolic steroids.

Police say the total value of marijuana seized from the property is $210,000.

Two young children were living at the home and police say they’ve notified the Halton Children’s Aid Society.

Police have also contacted the Milton Humane Society.

Ryan Brett, 34, is charged with producing a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking and bestiality. He’s also facing two firearms charges.

Donna Fleury, 34, is facing bestiality and firearms charges.

Brett was held for a bail hearing and Fleury was released on a promise to appear.
