Halton police warn of Oakville break-ins

Halton police are once again warning residents in Oakville after another home invasion was reported Sunday night.

Officers were called to an apartment building on Falgarwood Drive, near the QEW and Eighth Line, around 10 p.m. Police have released few details and it’s not yet known what or if anything was stolen. There are no reports of injuries.

Last Thursday, residents of a home on Coronation Drive found two men stealing items around 1:30 p.m. The suspects made off with jewelry.

The residents had only been gone a short time and the robbers fled when they returned home.

Police say a group of suspects has been targeting the Joshua Creek neighbourhood and other areas in north Oakville. The bandits force open the front doors of homes between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., and steal jewelry, electronics and cash, police say.

The suspects in the Coronation Drive break-in are described as:


  • Male, black
  • Muscular build
  • About six feet, two inches tall
  • Shoulder-length cornrow hairstyle
  • Early 30s

  • About six-foot-one
  • Short hair
  • Black jacket, black pants
  • Late 20s
