Woman arrested, another sought in youth prostitution ring

York regional police have arrested a woman and are searching for a man who allegedly ran a prostitution ring in downtown Toronto.

They are accused of using girls between 13 and 17.

Police raided an apartment on Lysander Court, near College Street and University Avenue, on Jan. 8.

The apartment was used as a “bawdy house,” police said.

Dong Zheng, 44, was arrested at the apartment. She was charged with four counts of living on the avails of a juvenile prostitute, living on the avails of prostitution, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and keeping a common bawdy house.

Zheng will appear in court on Monday.

Police are searching for Si Pui Yuen, 55, who is also known as Terry. The Chinese man is five feet eight inches and 160 pounds with a medium build. He has grey and black hair and speaks Cantonese.

Yuen is facing charges the same offences plus a charge of exercising direction control.
