Jennifer Lawrence got SAG card on MTV’s ‘My Super Sweet 16’

Jennifer Lawrence won best actress for her performance in The Silver Linings Playbook at the Screen Actors Guild awards on Sunday but she received her SAG card under much less prestigious circumstances.
Lawrence appeared in several promotional ads for MTV’s reality show My Super Sweet 16 when she was just 14 years old.
In a series of commercials, Lawrence plays the birthday girl – but her special day is spoiled. In one spot, a disco ball falls from the ceiling, spattering Lawrence with cake. In other, she enters the party on a chair carried by four men, but falls into the crowd.

Members of the Screen Actors Guild are entitled to minimum rates in pay and strict safety conditions as well as other benefits. The card also offers special protection to minors, including a guarantee of education .
Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson told TV Guide he received his card in a commercial for Dasani bottled water, while Community’s Allison Brie got hers in an anti-drug public service announcement.
