Man’s death near Centennial College ruled accidental: police

A man who burned to death near Centennial College in Scarborough was homeless, and was trying to heat a makeshift tent with a propane burner, police say.
His body was found on Saturday evening on Ashtonbee Road, near Eglinton Avenue East and Warden Avenue.
Police said the fire burned while he slept and he eventually caught fire. The man woke up but was unable to put the fire out, police.
The death was ruled accidental, police said Monday. The man’s name has not been released.
