Dismembered Kitchener woman identified

A woman whose torso was found in Kitchener has been identified, Waterloo regional police say.

The remains of  Kelsey Louise Felker, 24, of Kitchener, were found in a garbage bin behind a city apartment on Saturday morning.

Her torso was clothed in a black, short-sleeved T-shirt with the words “Forget princess, I want to be a vampire” on the front.

Police said information from the public regarding the black T-shirt was an important factor in identifying the Caucasian woman.

An autopsy, which began Monday, is continuing, police said Tuesday.
