Woman killed by brother in Richmond Hill: police

A 38-year-old woman murdered in a Richmond Hill condo last weekend was killed by her brother, York regional police say.

Around 2 a.m. Saturday, officers found the victim, now identified as Jeannine Ross of Thunder Bay, Ont., in a unit on Yonge Street, north of Elgin Mills Road.

An autopsy has since revealed she died from blows to her body.

Police arrested the victim’s 36-year-old brother, Jonathon Ross, at the scene and charged him with second-degree murder two days later.

According to a report in the Toronto Star, the suspect is a Grade 5 teacher at Corpus Christi Catholic School, a short walk from the condo.
