Sportsnet to air '93 World Series beginning Feb. 24

With Blue Jays fever at an all-time high in Canada, Sportsnet announced Friday it will broadcast all six games of the 1993 World Series in advance of the hotly anticipated 2013 regular season.

From Feb. 24 to March 23, baseball fans can recount and relive each play of the ’93 World Series that saw the Toronto Blue Jays defeat the Philadelphia Phillies for the second of their back-to-back championship titles.

Coverage of Game 1 begins Sunday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific.

Jamie Campbell will provide commentary prior to and at the conclusion of each game broadcast.

On Saturday, Feb. 23 Sportsnet kicks off its Grapefruit League league broadcast schedule when the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Detroit Tigers in Lakeland at 1 p.m. ET on Sportsnet East, Ontario, and Pacific.
