Two young men are wanted for the attempted armed robbery of a TTC collector’s booth at Kennedy station.
Toronto police were called to the station around 11 a.m. Friday after a young man, said to be in his late teens or early 20s, approached the collector’s booth with a handgun. He didn’t get any cash or fire any shots.
A second suspect didn’t go up to the booth, but was waiting nearby, police said.
Investigators are looking over surveillance video from the station.
This comes just days after the TTC and police once again appealed for tips on the one-year anniversary of the shooting of a transit collector.
William Anderson was shot in the neck and shoulder by a robber at Dupont subway station on Feb. 26, 2012. Police believe the same person is also responsible for two other hold-ups at the same subway station.
