Four people have been hurt, one critically, after they were hit by cars in separate incidents in Toronto.
On Sunday, just after midnight, a man was walking near Finch Avenue West and Jane Street when he was hit by a car. He had two broken legs and is expected to recover.
About four hours later, a 24-year-old cyclist was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital with critical injuries after he was hit by a car on Bloor Street West, near Lansdowne Avenue. Police say the cyclist entered the westbound lanes and was struck by a westbound vehicle. He struck the ground and suffered serious head injuries. The driver remained on scene.
Around the same time, a woman was hit by car at Queen and Spadina avenues, but wasn’t seriously hurt.
And police are still investigating a hit-and-run near Bloor and Avenue Road, which happened on Saturday evening. A man was hit by a vehicle while cycling in the area and had a cut to the head.
