Video released of armed robbery at Scarborough supermarket

Toronto police have released security video to drum up tips about an armed robbery at a Scarborough supermarket earlier this year.

Around 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 25, five masked men wandered into the store at Warden and Sheppard avenues and ordered four cashiers to open their registers.

They then grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the tills and punched the employees in the head. No one was seriously hurt.

One of the suspects was armed, and all were wearing hoodies, masks, possibly balaclavas and gloves.

Police say they have exhausted all leads and are hoping the video will prompt witnesses to come forward.
