Car thief makes dramatic escape in Etobicoke

Police continue to search for a car thief who made a dramatic escape in Etobicoke on Sunday night.
OPP officers pursued a stolen car on Highway 401 at 5:30 p.m. and the chase ended at an apartment building on Dixon Road, near Islington Avenue, where the suspect vehicle apparently slammed through the door of an underground parking garage.
Police had their guns drawn and brought in a canine unit to help in the search for the suspect.
No injuries were reported and no suspect description has been released.
