Snoop Lion has released a new video which features Drake rapping about Toronto’s mass shooting last summer on Danzig Street, which killed two people and injured 23 others.

In No Guns Allowed, Drake describes the shooting as “one summer day that went horribly wrong,” before dedicating his rap to Shyanne Charles, 14, and Joshua Yasay, 23, who were killed during the neighbourhood block party on July 16, 2012.

It’s not the first time the Toronto native has spoken out about the shooting. The day after, he offered his condolences to the victims’ families and friends in a tweet.

“Senseless violence in Toronto has to stop,” he said.

Toronto police chief Bill Blair called the Danzig Street shooting the worst in the city’s history.

Snoop Lion changed his name from Snoop Dogg last year.
