Woman hit by truck on Avenue Rd. dies in hospital

A 68-year-old woman, who was hit by a truck last week, has died in hospital.
The woman was crossing Avenue Road, north of Lawrence Avenue West, around 2:45 p.m. on April 16, when she stepped in the path of a northbound cube van.
She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died on Thursday, eight days later.
The Toronto police traffic services unit is investigating and has not said whether the 39-year-old man who was driving the truck will be charged.
