More than 400 Beer Store locations across Ontario could soon be getting a modern and high-tech makeover.
The Beer Store has performed the renovations on four locations, which will act as pilot projects for the rest of the stores.
The new designs are very modern, including a new logo, new colours and pretty notable change in the way you choose your beer.
Vice-president of retail at the Beer Store, Andrea Randolph, says the wall of beer is gone and replaced by computer tablets.
“We conducted an extensive amount of research with the beer-drinking public over the last year, and certainly some of the feedback we got (indicated) that the beer walls were difficult to read,” Randolph said.
As part of the changes there will also be more products you can choose yourself in new, additional fridges.
Beer Store officials will be gathering feedback on the new look stores over the next couple of months before deciding if all stores will be in line for a makeover.
The four stores getting the changes first:
The Bathurst and College location, Danforth and Greenwood location, Parliament and Winchester location and Hopedale Mall in Oakville location.
