Toronto man killed in east-end stabbing identified

Toronto police have identified a 58-year-old man who died after being stabbed multiple times in an east-end basement apartment last month.

On April 30 police were called to a home on Kingston Road near Birchmount Road around 3:45 a.m. where Alan Clements of Toronto was found suffering from stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Clements was the city’s 22nd homicide victim of the year.

Kalib Dufty, 23, was arrested at the scene and was charged with second-degree murder.

Police say several people were drinking when the accused allegedly stabbed Clements several times.

The investigation is ongoing.
