15 teens missing on Bruce Peninsula found

A group of 15 teenagers who were missing on the Bruce Peninsula have been found safe, the Waterloo Catholic District School Board confirmed to 570News.

They were from St. David Catholic Secondary School.

The teens were on a hiking trip and became separated from group around 5 p.m. Thursday, police said.

The teens, who are 16 and 17 years old, were park of an overnight trip that emphasized survival and outback camping.

“They were part of a school trip. Police are stressing there are no concerns for their well-being,” 570News reporter Blair Adams told Breakfast Television.

“They were prepared for this and they just got lost.”
