Memorial held for Kesean Williams

Friends and family gathered on Saturday at a memorial for the 9-year-old Brampton boy tragically shot and killed through the window of his home in January.

Kesean Williams died after being struck by a bullet while he was watching TV in his living room.

The community came together for a memorial breakfast at the David Suzuki Secondary School to honour the Grade 4 student and to stand up against gun violence.

All of the money raised will go directly to Kesean’s mom, his brother, and a scholarship in his memory.

Police believe the home was targeted and are trying to determine if the gunfire was intended for the previous tenants. Kesean and his family only moved into the home the week before the shooting.

No arrests have been made.

The Free for All Foundation and Kerry-Lee Crawford love Project are accepting donations on behalf of the Kesean Williams, with all proceeds go directly to his family.
