Tentative agreement reached with OLG workers at Woodbine

Workers at the OLG Slots at Woodbine won’t be heading to the picket line on Monday after an tentative agreement was reached on Sunday.

Last minute negotiations between the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission took place over the weekend ahead of the strike deadline.

“We are very pleased we were able to negotiate an agreement we feel is fair for the workers,” union president David Lewis said in a statement. “Workers will now be able to have greater work life balance, a key issue at our workplace.”

The 420 workers will now vote on on whether to accept the new tentative agreement on Monday and Tuesday.
