Former Spice Girl turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham was named Woman of the Decade Tuesday evening at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London.
Beckham, 39, took her eldest son Brooklyn, 14, as her date for the prestigious event.
“Thank you to Brooklyn, my date tonight, who is the most handsome man in the room tonight and I bet that just pissed off [model] David Gandy but thank you Brooklyn for bringing mummy and avoiding your homework tonight,” she said while accepting the award.
“Thank you to my mum and dad for always being there, my sister, my team, my husband who does everything for me. He supports me, he encourages me to follow my dreams and fulfill my passions so thank you David, even though you’re not here.”

The British fashion icon launched her own successful dress collection in 2009, and continues to garner rave reviews for her designs.
It’s a far cry from the mini-skirts and platform boots of her Posh Spice days. The group first rose to fame in 1996 and Beckham – with her high-profile marriage to soccer star David Beckham in 1999 – has been in the public eye ever since.
Other winners of the night included comedian Rebel Wilson and singer Rita Ora, while Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe was named Man of the Decade.
