Justin Bieber cleared in L.A. hit-and-run

Los Angeles police have cleared pop star Justin Bieber for his role in an alleged hit-and-run crash on Monday night.

Stratford’s own pop star was accused of hitting a photographer with his Ferrari as he left a comedy club around 11:45 p.m.

Celebrity gossip website TMZ reports that as Bieber was leaving the venue, paparazzi followed him and his passenger Lil Twist.

Bieber motioned for the photographers to get out of the way and then continued to drive, TMZ said.

However, he hit one of them as he was leaving. The man was not seriously hurt.

L.A. police interviewed Bieber, who said he didn’t know he had hit a photographer. Police said the photographer was at fault in the incident, because he was a pedestrian in the roadway.

Bieber has been in the news more for being off the stage than on in recent weeks. In March, he was caught on video getting into an altercation with paparazzi  in London, and L.A. police said he was being investigated for battery following an incident with a neighbor on March 26.
