Tall Ships 1812 Tour coming to Toronto on Thursday

A piece of Canada’s past will be sailing into the Toronto waterfront on Thursday.

The Tall Ships 1812 Tour, which began in Brockville on June 14, will drop anchor for three days as a part of the War of 1812 Bicentennial Celebrations.

The tour will feature tall ships from around the world.

Toronto will be the only stop on the pan provincial tour to host the full fleet of 16 ships.

Those looking to test out their sea legs will be able to tour the decks of the majestic fleet, participate in War of 1812 interactive experiences and enjoy live musical performances.

Opening Ceremonies will take place Thursday morning and the Parade of Sail finale will take place on Sunday as the fleet heads toward Hamilton.
