Suspect arrested after Whitby stabbing

A 47-year-old man is under arrest after a stabbing in Whitby on Sunday morning.
It happened around 11:30 a.m. in the Pilkington Crescent area, near Brock Street North and Manning Road.
Police say when they arrived on scene they discovered a 36-year-old man with numerous stab wounds. The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Homicide has taken over the investigation.
