Youth volunteer charged with sex assault

A man who worked as a youth volunteer and in a group home for teenagers has been charged with sexual assault.
Toronto police say he allegedly assaulted a young boy on “several” occasions between Jan. 1, 1987 and Dec, 31, 1997.
Maurice Fairweather, 49, was arrested Monday.
He was charged with two counts of sexual assault, sexual exploitation, sexual interference and gross indecency.
Police believe there may be more victims. The investigation is ongoing.
