Health Canada recalls Baby Einstein jumpers

Health Canada has recalled the Baby Einstein ‘musical motion activity’ jumpers due to concerns one of its attachments could potentially cause injuries to small children.

The health agency, along with the manufacturer, Kids II, said the sun toy attachment on the jumper can “rebound with force and injure the infant, posing an impact hazard.”

The affected product bears the model number 90564, and was manufactured before November 2011.

Around 400,000 of the products were sold in the U.S. and Canada, with around 8,500 of those sold in Canada.

The products were sold at Sears, Target, Toys “R” Us, Wal-Mart, Costco, and Amazon.com, to name a few. They were sold between May 2010 and May 2013.

Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and contact the company for a replacement attachment.

Consumers can also contact Kids II toll-free at 1-877-325-7056 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday, or online.
