7 charged with robbing GTA cellphone stores

Seven people are facing robbery-related offences after police raids at nine GTA residences earlier this week.
York police said the suspects were identified and linked to armed robberies at cellular telephone stores starting with one in Markham in December 2012.
The suspects were also identified and linked to similar retail robberies in Ajax and Pickering.
The GTA raids were conducted on Tuesday and the following people were arrested and charged:
Earl Sylva, 22, of Toronto
Omari Kelly, 20, of Toronto
Adrian Macewen, 19, of Toronto
Jahmar Gerson-Hall, 20, of Toronto
Jamieka Wilson, 18, of Brampton
Shamichael Jackson, 22, of Toronto
Mohamed Ghaznavi, 28, of Toronto
They all face robbery, robbery with a firearm and disguise with intent, among other charges.
All of the accused were scheduled to appear in a Newmarket court on Thursday.
