1 injured in Stouffville collision involving cement truck

One person is in serious condition after a cement mixer and a Honda Civic collided in Whitchurch-Stouffville.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Woodbine Avenue and Bloomington Road East shortly before 2:30 p.m.
The collision scattered debris across the intersection and caused one of the vehicles to catch fire.
Despite the victim being conscious when pulled from the vehicle, York police told CityNews the person’s injuries are potentially life-threatening.
There has been no word on the age or sex of the victim.
The intersection will be closed while police investigate.
