Three new MPPs have been sworn in at Queen’s Park.
The Ontario PC’s star candidate and former Toronto councillor Doug Holyday officially became the MPP for Etobicoke-Lakeshore, while Liberals Mitzie Hunter and John Fraser took the oath for Scarborough-Guildwood and Ottawa South, respectively.
New Democrats Peggy Sattler and Percy Hatfield were sworn in for London West and Windsor-Tecumseh on Wednesday.
The new members won in byelections for their ridings on Aug. 1.
Mayor Rob Ford hosted a meeting in Etobicoke on Wednesday night to hear whether Etobicoke-Centre residents want to replace Holyday by appointment or with a byelection.
A slight majority favoured a byelection, according to a report in the Globe and Mail.
City council will debate the matter at a special meeting on Monday.
