Canadian Blood Services recalls improperly tested blood

Canadian Blood Services has issued a recall for 1,500 units of blood because they were not properly tested for the Cytomegalovirus or CMV.
CMV is a common infection that is harmless to most of the population.
The recal is being done as a precautionary measure.
Canadian Blood Services says test for more serious infectious diseases were done on the blood to specification.
