GO Transit has resumed train service, with adjustments, on the Lakeshore East line, hours after it was shut down due to a gas leak.
Trains will travel between Union and Scarborough, where passengers can board GO buses. Those buses will stop at Eglinton and Guildwood.
Trains will also shuttle passengers from Guildwood to Oshawa.
A Metrolinx spokeswoman said construction workers hit a gas line in a GO parking lot near Eglinton Avenue East and Bellamy Road North, east of McCowan Road, around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
VIA Rail service has also been affected. Toronto-Kingston-Montreal trains and will resume regular service Wednesday night.
