Man shot at Mississauga gas station

A 19-year-old man is in hospital after he was shot while at a gas station in Mississauga.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. Saturday at the Petro-Canada at Tomken Road and Eglinton Avenue East.

Paramedics took the victim to hospital with a gunshot wound to the torso. Police say he will recover.

Police say the victim is not being co-operative with investigators.

No suspect information has been released.

Officials believe witnesses in the area may have important information to offer the case and are encouraging anyone who may have been at the gas station before the shooting and afterwards to contact Peel police.

Meanwhile, Shortly before 1 a.m., Toronto police were called about gunfire near Gerrard Street East and Jones Avenue. They found shell casings on Bain Avenue, but no victim yet.
