Two teenagers have been charged after two bear-spray attacks in Halton Hills, Ont.
Halton Regional Police say an individual first met two teenagers in the area of Greenore Park to conduct an alleged drug transaction Saturday, which escalated into a physical confrontation, during which bear spray was used.
Police say one of the teenage suspects went to the same individual’s home early Sunday with two males and allegedly began to damage the individual’s car.
When the individual and family members tried to stop them, the teenage suspect allegedly used bear spray again, leaving him and a family member with minor injuries, according to police.
Police arrested a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy, both of Halton Hills, on Sunday. The teenagers are charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace and assault with a weapon in connection with the park incident.
The 17-year-old boy is also charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, two counts of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace and mischief in connection with the incident at the individual’s home.
An investigation into two other male suspects is underway, police say.
