‘Ender’s Game’ No. 1 at weekend box office

Science fiction movie Ender’s Game – an adaptation of the best-selling novel – topped the weekend box office, raking in US $ 28 million.
Asa Butterfield stars as a brilliant young solider who must defend Earth against an alien attack. Harrison Ford also stars as a gruff military commander.
In second place was Bad Grandpa, which took in $20.5 million according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. The movie, from the Jackass crew, was in first place last week. It follows and 86-year-old man (played by Johnny Knoxville) travelling across the United States with his eight-year-old grandson.
Last Vegas, which follows aging actors Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas and Kevin Kline as they attend a Vegas bachelor party, was No. 3. It made $16.5 million.
