The southbound lanes of Highway 400 were closed for most of the day at Innisfil Beach Road after a series of crashes on Tuesday, Ontario provincial police say.
The closure extended to Highway 9.
In one collision, a vehicle rolled over near Highway 88, and in another, a vehicle went into the guardrail near Canal Street.
A jackknifed tractor trailer blocked several lanes near Hwy. 88 and there was a multi-vehicle collision near Hwy. 89. Near Innisfil Beach Road, a dump truck rolled onto its roof.
There has been no word on any injuries.
The collisions are weather-related, OPP Sgt. Dave Woodford said. Snow squall warnings remain in effect for Barrie, Innisfil, Collingwood and surrounding areas.
The section of highway reopened around 3:30 p.m.
