An elderly woman has died in hospital after a collision in East York earlier this month.

Toronto police say the 89-year-old woman, who was using a walker, was hit by a driver who was backing out of a driveway.

The collision happened on Longspur Road, near O’Connor Drive and St. Clair Avenue East, around 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 3.

The victim was attempting to cross Longspur, from the east side to the west side, while a 65-year-old woman reversed out of a driveway.

The woman was taken to hospital. She died on Friday.  The other driver was not injured.

No charges have been laid. Police are asking witnesses to come forward.
