Man faces 6 charges after woman sexually assaulted in apartment

A 22-year-old man is facing six charges after Toronto police say a woman was attacked and sexually assaulted in an apartment early Sunday.
Police say a man knocked on an apartment door in the Keele Street and Rogers Road area at about 5 a.m. Sunday.
When the woman answered the door, the man forced his way inside.
Police allege that he attacked, choked and sexually assaulted the woman.
Andrew Medford of Toronto is charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, threatening bodily harm and overcoming resistance by choking.
He also faces two charges related to marijuana possession.
