Mayor Ford and brother to host online show

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford and his brother, Coun. Doug Ford, will reportedly host their own show again.

Doug Ford has told Toronto radio station Newstalk 1010 that the pair will begin an online series called Ford Nation.

That was also the name of their recent one-episode show on Sun television.

Ford says they plan to upload the first episode to YouTube “before Christmas.”

He also says the Ford brothers have been contacted by production houses in the U.S. about doing a reality show — ”everyone from Oprah to Dr. Phil.”

The Fords will cover all costs associated with their online venture.

Earlier this month, the Fords’ weekly radio show The City on Newstalk 1010 was cancelled.

Program director Mike Bendixen tweeted that the radio station and the Fords “mutually determined to conclude broadcasts of The City…”

“Of course, Mayor Ford and Councillor Ford remain welcome at any time as guests on Newstalk 1010,” he said.

The City aired on Sunday afternoons.
