New comic book about Prince out next week

The life and career of pop star Prince is detailed in a new comic book.

In 24 pages the publication details the 55-year-old’s career from a young musician in Minneapolis, Minn., to a global star.

From hits like 1999 to his film Purple Rain detailed imagery provides a walk down memory lane for fans.

It also touches on Prince’s fight with his record company in 1993, when he changed his name to what he called a love symbol.

For author Michael Frizell, who said he has been a fan since the 1970s, writing the story was “like reliving his childhood.”

The book will hit shelves on Dec. 4.
