A 36-year-old York Regional Police officer has died after a training injury earlier this month.
Michael Pegg broke his leg during annual requalification training in Vaughan on Nov. 12 and underwent surgery three days later.
He died early Friday morning in hospital. The cause is not known.
Pegg was a 10-year veteran of the force and had been a tactical flight officer since June 2008.
Flags at all York Region stations are flying at half-mast in his honour.
