Ten-year-old Krystin Lavelle and her older brother Andrew were vacationing in Hawaii over the Christmas period and got to meet U.S. President Barack Obama thanks to their uncle.
Krystin said Uncle Rob works at the marine base where Obama worked out during his vacation.
She got to shake his hands, gave him flowers but she almost didn’t get his autograph.
But Andrew saved the day, saying “Mr. President, I know that you’re busy but could you sign my sister’s journal?”
Obama wrote in her journal, “To Krystin, dream big dreams!”
Krystin told Avery Haines she wants to be in the Olympics “because I’m a competitive figure skater.”
