Police search for missing Whitby man Jeffrey Boucher, Jan. 13, 2014. DURHAM REGIONAL POLICE/Handout

Police have yet to find a Whitby man who’s now been missing for five days.

The family members of Jeffrey Boucher, 52, reported the Bowmanville High School teacher and avid jogger missing on Monday morning when they say he didn’t return from his morning run.

“Unfortunately we have no new developments to offer,” Sgt. Nancy van Rooy told reporters on Friday during a news conference in Whitby.

She said that police would continue their ground and air search for Boucher on Friday, the weekend and throughout next week.

Police expanded their search area on Thursday and will do so again on Friday to include the waterfront trails of Durham Region.

Boucher is described as white, six-feet tall, 180 pounds with grey-and-white short hair.

Police say they believe he was wearing dark blue or black Mountain Equipment Co-op gear and running shoes.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding his whereabouts or who may have had contact with him recently to call them at (888) 579-1520.
